Chinese Garden, is a park in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1975 by the JTC Corporation and designed by Prof. Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, the Chinese Garden’s concept is based on Chinese gardening art. The main characteristic is the integration of architectural features with the natural environment. The Chinese Garden is modeled along the northern Chinese imperial style of architecture and landscaping.It is located next to Chinese Garden MRT Station and connected to the adjacent Japanese Garden by a bridge. Along with Japanese Garden, the two gardens are collectively known as the Jurong Gardens.

Japanese Garden , is a park located in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1974 by JTC Corporation, it covers 13.5 hectares (135,000 m2) of land.

It is built on an artificial island in Jurong Lake and is connected to the adjacent Chinese Garden island by bridge named the Bridge of Double Beauty.Along with the aforementioned Chinese Garden, the two gardens are collectively known as the Jurong Gardens.

Chinese and Japanese gardens are located on two islands on the beautiful Jurong Lake. The gardens can be reached by an overpass and are joined by the aptly named Bridge of Double Beauty. The Japanese Garden represents the themes of traditional Japanese garden designs. The dry garden in the Japanese Garden is a visual treat as it uses white pebbles to create images of flowing streams. The Chinese Garden represents the style of Imperial Gardens which integrates brightly colored buildings with the surroundings. The Chinese Garden boasts of a stone boat which is a replica of the original stone boat at the Summer Palace in Beijing. Representing the Suzhou style or the southern style of landscape architecture, the Garden of Beauty boasts of 2,000 pots of penjiang (bonsai) and displays of small rocks. The Chinese Garden is home to Pure Air of the Universe building that houses a pond and a seven storey pagoda.
